Now that AgentOvation has been officially launched, it's time to begin thinking about the next round of changes to be made to the AgentOvation platform.

I have a few ideas of my own, but what's most important is what your ideas are. What would you like to see added to AgentOvation? What are the most important things your web site can give you? Don't be afraid to think big. The more feedback I get, the better I'll be able to put together a long term road map for where AgentOvation is headed and how to offer the best value to my clients.

Well, it's two hours early, but close enough to the August 1st. AgentOvation is officially launched.

To see the administrative interface of the AgentOvation web site, click the login tab and use the username "demo" with the password "demo".

When you set up your AgentOvation web site, your listings will be displayed on the home page beneath the search by default.

As of right now, AgentOvation is set up with RealTracs MLS, covering the greater Nashville and Middle Tennessee areas. If you're outside of this area, go ahead and sign up. Fill in the "MLS Information" field with your MLS name, city and state. If you have the phone number, that will help as well. I can generally have your MLS set up within a couple of days of getting the contracts in place with them.

When you set up your AgentOvation web site, we'll provide a web address for you by default. (i.e. http://YourName.realtysalesweb.com or http://YourName.realtyagentweb.com) If you want to use your own name (i.e. www.YourSiteName.com), you will need to have it registered prior to signing up for AgentOvation. (I recommend GoDaddy. Easy registration at $8.95. When checking out, use the coupon code OYH3 to get $2 off each domain name you purcahse.) We'll provide instructions for pointing your domain name to our servers after you've set up your site. Just be sure to enter your domain name in the "Web Address" field name.

August 1st is the official launch date for AgentOvation. That means I have one week to get ready for it. It seems like there's a lot left to do, but each time I look at my list it gets a little smaller and the items that are left aren't really that difficult. The bulk of the hard work is done. I just have to pull the pieces together and get the registration page up.

I had planned on doing some pre-registration, but time hasn't allowed me to get that up and running just yet. So, I have to shoot for normal registration.

I also need to update some screen shots, but that probably won't get done until right after the launch. I might just be able to get a demo site set up before the launch, though.

I've added some screenshots of AgentOvation. I have quite a few more that I need to put up, but this is a good start and should give you an idea of how it will work and look. When AgentOvation is launched, I'll have a demo available so you can "kick the tires" a bit.

As a Realtor, you have countless people trying to sell you a web site. They throw features at you, give you "limitless possibilities", make promises and everything else.

So, why in the world should you choose AgentOvation?

First, AgentOvation is a one man shop. I write the code, handle the design aspects (though I have designers available to help out when the work load gets tight) and most importantly: I handle customer service myself. When you have a question, I will be the one answering your email, calling to make sure it got resolved and following up on any questions you may have.

Second, my reputation and business are on the line. If a customer service rep at another company doesn't do their job, well, the worst that could happen is that the customer service rep gets fired, only to be replaced by someone who may or may not be more attentive. Fourth, the real estate business needs innovative ideas now more than ever. And believe me, I've got long lists of ideas that I'm dying to implement on AgentOvation. I just need to know which ones are going to benefit you the most. By getting your feedback first, I can make sure that you have the tools that you need and want without th "fluff" that you'll never use.

Fifth, you'll become part of the AgentOvation network. AgentOvation will have several sites associated with it that are both nationally and regionally targetted. You and your website will automatically be listed on applicable sites, giving you added exposure both to visitors and search engines.

Sixth, AgentOvation is about simplicity. This means clean designs, clean code and easy to use features. When I write code for AgentOvation, I test it in two different versions of FireFox and Internet Explorer 6 and 7. I follow standards set out by the World Wide Web Consortium. This means faster loading pages and compatibility with the vast majority of browsers in use today.

Should I keep going? There are lots of reasons to choose AgentOvation. I'm passionate about what I do and I'm dedicated to making it succeed and to making each of my clients succeed.

Okay, looks like I've got the FireFox and IE 7 issues fixed now.

I've made a lot of headway on the AgentOvation real estate web site solution in the past few days. Launch is getting close and I'm excited about it. I may have to take a few days off of working on the system itself to get pre-registration ready, update my mailing list and do a bit of marketing, including some screen shots here and adding a few more pages to the site.

I've got some browser issues with the blog section in Firefox and IE 7. I'll work on getting these fixed ASAP. I've got some design tweaking to do as well.
